A dead master, a torn book, and nine schools that want it.
You are Shen Ye, the last apprentice of a swordsman nobody admits to having known. He left you a book with nine pages torn out, a debt to a ferryman, and a name that opens doors and starts fights.
Each torn page is held by one of the nine schools of the jianghu, on one of nine rivers. To read your master’s last lesson, you will have to learn theirs — or break them.
